THE PUBLICATION
For the life you share with them.
A clearer way to care for the lives we share
Every pet’s life contains hundreds of decisions that don’t come with a simple instruction manual. The first night with a kitten. A dog who suddenly won’t put weight on one leg. An estimate for dental treatment with six unfamiliar line items. A policy that sounds reassuring until you start reading its exclusions.
EvePaw exists for those moments. We publish practical, carefully explained reading about dogs, cats, veterinary care, costs, insurance and the daily choices that accompany pet ownership in the United States. Our aim is not to make every decision feel easy. It is to make the important details easier to see.
For the life you share with them is more than a line beneath our name. It is the editorial boundary we work within: useful information for the ordinary days, the firsts, the unexpected setbacks and the changing needs of older animals.
Pets first, products second
You should be able to read EvePaw and learn something useful even if you never buy a product or an insurance policy. That principle shapes the way our sections fit together. Dog and cat coverage addresses care and behavior. Health & Care explains signs, veterinary conversations and preventive routines. Vet Costs looks at the components behind real bills. Life With Pets covers adoption, renting, travel, recovery and planning. Pet Insurance explains a financial tool that may help in some circumstances and may not fit others.
Commercial relationships may support the publication, but an article must still answer its question without them. We do not treat a partner’s willingness to pay as a reason to recommend its policy. Learn more in How We Make Money and Affiliate Disclosure.
Five stages, one continuous life
Our signature Pet Life Stages approach follows an animal’s needs through Bringing Them Home, Growing Up, Everyday Care, When Something Happens and Growing Older. It is an organizing idea, not a medical classification. A reader can enter at the stage that matches today’s question and continue to a useful next one, whether that concerns care, budget or a conversation with a veterinarian.
Who makes EvePaw
Daniel Cohen is EvePaw’s Owner & Publisher. Ryan Mitchell and Evelyn Prescott are Editorial Contributors. Their profiles explain their roles and editorial focus without invented qualifications, personal histories or professional licenses. Meet the people behind the publication in Our People.
We believe credibility is earned through visible decisions: sourcing claims, acknowledging limits, keeping corrections accessible and distinguishing factual reporting from analysis. Read our Editorial Standards and How We Research to understand those decisions.
What we can and cannot do
EvePaw is a consumer publication—not a veterinary clinic, emergency service, insurer, licensed insurance agent or source of individualized treatment recommendations. An article cannot examine an animal, interpret a specific policy on behalf of its issuer, or replace a veterinarian’s advice. We make those limits explicit in Pet Health Editorial Policy and Disclaimer.
Tell us what needs to be better
Questions about an article, factual corrections, accessibility, partnerships and general correspondence all belong at Contact EvePaw. Readers can also contact us directly at contact@evepaw.com. Our goal is not to sound certain about everything. It is to make uncertainty legible when it matters.
