PRIVACY AT EVEPAW

What happens to information you share when you read EvePaw or contact our publication.

Last reviewed: October 10, 2026. This notice applies to evepaw.com. EvePaw is a U.S.-focused pet-life editorial publication. For privacy questions or requests, contact contact@evepaw.com.

What information we receive

When you contact us: Our contact form asks for your name, reply email, inquiry category and message. We also receive the correspondence you send to our published email addresses. Please do not include passwords, payment-card information, identity documents, or sensitive veterinary or household records in a general message.

When you visit: Our hosting platform and the technical services supporting the website may receive connection information such as IP address, browser type, device information, request URLs, timestamps and technical error or security events. WordPress may use cookies for administrator sign-in and other essential functions. We do not need you to create an account to read our articles.

If you follow a link: Links to insurers, veterinary organizations and other third-party websites take you to services with their own privacy practices. If EvePaw uses an affiliate link, the destination or referral service may process identifiers needed to attribute a visit or qualifying action. Our Affiliate Disclosure explains the commercial relationship. We do not receive a pet-insurance company’s entire customer record simply because you follow a link.

How we use information

We use contact details and messages to understand an inquiry, respond when appropriate, investigate corrections, handle accessibility reports and maintain an accountable editorial record. Connection and security information may be used to operate, protect, troubleshoot and maintain the website. We do not use contact-form messages to diagnose pets or provide emergency veterinary care.

How the contact form works

The EvePaw Editorial Support form sends the details you submit to the publication’s configured email inbox using WordPress email delivery. The form does not maintain a separate searchable database of submitted message bodies in WordPress. Copies may remain in the receiving mailbox, mail-delivery systems, host logs and backups. The form requires consent, validates submissions and uses a hidden anti-spam field. A short-lived abuse-prevention counter uses a one-way, site-secret-based hash derived from the request IP address rather than retaining the raw address in that counter. Server and security logs are separate from that mechanism.

Cookies, fonts and external services

The website runs on WordPress and uses hosting and caching services, including Hostinger and LiteSpeed Cache. These services can handle technical connection information necessary to deliver and protect pages. The EvePaw theme currently requests typography from Google Fonts; when your browser loads those font files, Google may receive your IP address and related request information under its own privacy terms. This is not a claim that Google provides EvePaw with your personal identity.

Additional cookies or measurements may apply if analytics, advertising or embedded third-party features are enabled in the future. This notice will need to be updated when those services change. You can manage or block cookies using your browser controls, although blocking necessary login or form-related browser features may affect those functions.

Who may receive information

Relevant information may be processed by EvePaw’s email provider, website host, caching and security services, and other vendors needed to run the publication. If we must respond to a lawful request or protect the website against abuse, limited information may also be disclosed as required or permitted by law. We do not publish readers’ contact-form submissions as testimonials without permission.

How long information is kept

We retain inquiry correspondence as reasonably necessary to respond, preserve correction histories, resolve disputes, comply with applicable obligations and maintain legitimate business records. Mailbox, provider-log and backup retention varies by service and configuration; we do not promise a fixed deletion period that has not been confirmed. Security counters in the EvePaw contact-form plugin expire after approximately one hour, although separate host logs may have different lifetimes.

Your choices and privacy requests

You can browse public editorial content without submitting a contact form. You may request access, correction or deletion of personal information associated with your correspondence, subject to applicable law and appropriate identity verification. Email contact@evepaw.com with “Privacy request” in the subject and enough context to identify your message. We will assess the request and explain any limitation that applies to lawful recordkeeping or third-party services. Privacy rights can differ by jurisdiction.

Children

EvePaw is written for a general adult consumer audience, not directed to children. Children should not submit personal information to the contact form without a parent or guardian’s involvement. Contact us if you believe a child sent personal information that requires attention.

Security

EvePaw uses HTTPS and standard WordPress safeguards, but internet transmission and storage are not completely risk-free. Please avoid sending confidential records through the general contact form. For a veterinary emergency, contact a veterinarian or emergency animal hospital directly.

Changes and questions

We will revise this policy when our processing practices or services materially change. The review date above identifies this version. Questions, access requests and deletion requests may be sent to contact@evepaw.com or through our Contact page.
