EVEPaw / THE PUBLICATION

Accessibility

FOR EVERY READER

Our intention is to make EvePaw clear, navigable and usable across devices and abilities.

A publication should be readable by everyone

EvePaw aims to present pet-care information through legible typography, meaningful headings, clear links, accessible form labels, keyboard-friendly navigation and images that serve the story rather than obscure it. The site uses a responsive design intended to work across phone, tablet and desktop layouts.

Accessibility is not achieved simply by publishing a statement or installing a plugin. Real usability requires ongoing checks across devices, browsers, assistive technologies and content formats. We do not claim formal certification or full conformance to a particular WCAG level without an independently verified evaluation.

What we pay attention to

We aim to use informative link labels instead of unexplained “click here” text, to distinguish decorative imagery from meaningful diagrams, and to provide readable alternatives for critical information when images are involved. Editors should use logical heading levels, captions where necessary and tables only when they make the comparison easier.

Interactive features, including the contact form, should expose their purpose through labels, show errors in text and avoid trapping keyboard focus. Important safety guidance should never rely only on color.

Where issues can arise

Embedded third-party content, uploaded images, legacy articles and new WordPress extensions can introduce accessibility problems. Complex insurer tables or visual comparisons may also need an alternative reading format. Our live-site accessibility review should include these cases before launch.

Tell us what isn’t working

If an article, form, menu or document is difficult to use, write to contact@evepaw.com. Helpful details include the page URL, device/browser, assistive technology if comfortable sharing it, and what you were trying to do. You do not need to disclose a disability or medical condition to request an accessible alternative.

We will review specific problems and prioritize changes that affect access to essential information, especially urgent pet-health instructions or financial disclosures. For a general message, use Contact EvePaw.
